International visitors will mostly arrive at Narita International Airport. For this case, access to Niigata is most convenient via Tokyo and the Joestsu Shinkansen.

Both the Narita Express and Joetsu Shinkansen are operated by JR East (East Japan Railway Company).
From Niigata station, we recommend taking a taxi to CIHBS. Depart from the “Bandai-guchi” exit, where the taxi stand is directly in front of the station. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes and cost approximately 1200 yen.
